Commenting and Public Opinion

Daily, I am forced to defend my conservative viewpoints to others who would more rather argue intricate details of the issue itself than FIX a problem.

For once in my life, I refuse to argue these points. This blog stands as an opinion and random-news collective. If you disagree with my opinion, yell it to the moon - I simply do not care.

Edit:
After turning off commenting on my post about Supreme Court nominations, I received an email from a very irritable "anonymous" user who seemed upset that I wouldn't cite a source for my "quote" on Charles Schumer.

Firstly, it wasn't a quote.
Secondly, I do NOT sit and write during the few precious breaks I get during my day to INFORM others. I write to write - to unload the burdensome thoughts and feelings that otherwise would mire my already-distressed mind into uselessness. If you'd like to see where and how I heard about what Mr. Schumer said then either listen to the same stations and programs I listen to, or LOOK IT THE HELL UP. Welcome to the Internet, here's Google, learn to use it.

On that note, in fact, do a Google search for "schumer filibuster." I'm sure at least one of the more than 74,000 page links will have something about what the man said last week on a train.

Don't bitch to me because I won't back up my sources. I'm not a journalist, nor am I accountable for anything I say here. If you have a problem with opinion about "conservative blogs," as this particular reader did, then stop reading them. If you must read, keep your comments to yourself.

If I'd asked, for instance, "I wonder what others think about this" - or even "I'm troubled and would like some help deciding how I feel about filibusters." - Feel free to comment in those cases. Otherwise, I am TELLING YOU how I feel. If you don't like it, bend over far enough and scream your complaints at your own ass. I promise you'll find more joy there than in my responses to your criticism of my views.

I am a conservative. That means smaller government, no socialist programs and policies, and VOTING on anything that comes into the Senate or House. Remember - on the playground, after all the snot-nosed brats who didn't get their way ran home to Mom screaming "they won't play my way!!!" well... they stayed home in the air conditioning whilst the rest of us were out playing, learning social skills and how to have fun without Mommy to protect our interests.

Grow up, and stop defending a party and mindset that demand their way regardless of public opinion.
